MERRY CHRISTMAS ANGEL

A Christmas Wish
How very much you're missed
Isn't easy to explain
For, words never could convey
The sadness and the pain.

Although gone now from this life
You've left memories to treasure
That are the sweetest kind
And will softly stay forever.

At Christmastime especially
You're missed throughout each day
And all those lovely memories
Are with us, here to stay

Sent with love to you precious angel.xxxx

Always A Hero

I have a lifetime of memories of you Bob; with you being an old friend of my parents, Ernie and Margaret Roseberry. It seems like I've spent the last forty odd years laughing at you and your witty observations on just about everything...nowt was safe or too sacred with you around. Two memories spring to mind in particular though.

11/9/1989
My dear Nanna (Evelyn Cartwright of Thorney Close) celebrated her 80th birthday with a family knees-up in the Golden Lion, South Hylton. You arrived, gave her a big cuddle and presented her with a big bag of black ball mints. And what did she do? She turned to you and said "Eee, I dint like willicks son." Now I've seen you tame the wildest audiences with one quick put-down but I swear you were lost for words that night. Or perhaps it was just your love and respect you had for the older generation?

22/3/1997
On the night that I finally wed my lovely Kay, you arrived at our evening reception at the Chilton and stopped the disco mid-song. You then proceeded to do a 30-minute turn; most of which was spent pulling me to bits, whilst going from table to table helping yourself to a fag here and a sup of a pint there. For thirty minutes you totally slaughtered me but I felt like the king of the world because I was the subject of a living legend's material.

You may have left us for a while but your spirit and memories will stay with us forever. You will never be forgotten my old friend because so many will continue to share their happy memories of you.

God bless you Bob. Keep them laughing up there. Thanks for the memories.

To my lovely family xxx

xLetter From Heaven.xxx
The Final Flight

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free,
I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took his hand when I heard his call,
I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work, to play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I've found that peace at the end of the day.

If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah, yes, these things too, I will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My Life's been full, I savoured much,
Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me,
God wanted me now, He set me free.

One More Angel in Heaven

I saw Bobby when I was a teenager, many years ago. A very funny guy and he was always a link to my Dad who went to that big shipyard in the sky in 1987. He'll be making them laugh up in heaven now. Sincere condolences to his family, the pain will eventually fade and you'll be left with happy memories only.
